1. ENTRIES
1.1 Entry fee of SR275.00 per entrant. Deadline for
receipt of entry fee is Thursday, March 10th,
2011
1.2 Registration can be completed on the web at:

1.3 The total entrants are limited to 96 players. In
the event of applications exceeding this number, entrants
numbered 97 and above will be alternates. Should an
accepted entrant (within the 96) withdraw, alternates
will be immediately notified. Entry fees will be refunded at
the earliest opportunity to alternates who cannot be
accommodated within the tournament. Handicap 12 and under
must walk the course.
1.4 The Committee reserves the right to limit and/or
restrict the number of entrants from any one club or golf
society. These limitations will be communicated to the
respective Club Secretary after the deadline of March
7th, 2011.
1.5 If a competitor withdraws, no substitute will be
accepted unless prior approval has been obtained from the
Tournament Committee.
2. QUALIFICATIONS
2.1 Open to professional and amateur Golfers who are current
members of a Golf Club or Golf Society.
2.2 The tournament is restricted to Golfers having a current
active handicap of 24 or lower for men and 32 or lower for
women.
2.3 A valid handicap certificate and/or letter from your
Club Secretary must be submitted to the Committee during
registration. Clubs may submit a composite listing of
handicaps for multiple entrants. Players MUST play off
their current handicap on the day of the competition.
Revised handicaps must be presented to the Committee at time
of registration
3. RULES
3.1 Play will be conducted according to the rules of the
USGA, the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the
Saudi Aramco Golf Association (SAGA) and Ain Nakhl Golf Club
Local Rules. A copy of pertinent rules in SAGA and ANGC
Local Rules will be provided to each Competitor.
3.2 Only one mat per player will be accepted on the
tournament day.
3.3 Players are not allowed to sweep the browns, if required
it has to be done by the assigned sweeper.
4. PLAY
4.1 Stroke over 18 holes on Friday March
11th.
4.2 Assigned tee-times Holes No 1 & 10.
4.3 Golf carts will be provided to golfers over 12 handicap
if possible, but please bring a hand cart just in case we do
not have enough carts for everyone. If there are not enough
carts the committee will ask for volunteers before
requesting players to walk.
5. DECISIONS
5.1 The decisions of the Tournament Committee on all matters
of competition play shall be final. The Tournament Committee
will include the Tournament Director and Abqaiq Open
Committee members
6. DRAW
6.1 The draw will be performed by the committee and will
include consideration for Gross and Net competitors as well
as visitors, who where possible will be matched with local
members. The draw will be posted in the Ain Nakhl Clubhouse
on Thursday March 10th, 2011 at approximately 7:00 pm.
7. STARTING
7.1 Players shall report to the Registration table 30
minutes before their assigned tee-time. Players are
requested to present themselves to the Starter 15 minutes
before the start of play. Order of play will be governed by
the Draw. The player must start at the time designated by
the Committee. Penalty: Disqualification.
8. PRACTICE
8.1 All competitors may practice on the course on Thursday,
March 10th, 2011. The driving range will be available
free of charge to competitors on both days.
Note:
course will close on March 10th at 3:00pm for
preparation for tournament. Driving range will remain open.
9. TIES
9.1 Players tied for first (1st)
place in the Gross Championship will participate in a 3 hole
playoff starting at the 1st
Hole. Sudden death playoff will commence on the 4th
hole if a winner has not been decided in the first three
holes.
9.2 Other ties in the competition will be decided by count
back under USGA Rule 33-6, Stroke Play.
10. PRIZES
10.1 The 13th
Annual Abqaiq Open Champion will be the person returning the
lowest gross score over 18 holes. The Net Club champion will
be the player with lowest net score over 18 holes.

Course Prizes
Longest Drive and Closest to Pin. Holes will be announced

10.2 All competition prizes will be in the form of golf
merchandise

they materialize**
